Halo 3 … Grade: 5/5

October 9th, 2007 by Shaun

  • Halo 3

  • I won’t go into some long overblown review since it’s been done to death on every website and blog on the planet so in short it gets a 5/5 from me. The campaign mode is flawless and the story line was well done while wrapping up the trilogy and still leaving Master Chief as a viable option for a future series. (Wise Decision).

The online game play is great however it does have its issues. My main problem is with the matchmaking options or should I say the lack there of. It could have been made a little easier to get into the type of games you want without having to make a custom game. Other then that It’s all good. It is an absolute must have even for those who dislike FSP games.

    Campaign: 5/5 …Online: 4/5 …Overall: 5/5

  • The New Addiction

  • I never liked first person shooters in fact I rather despise them. I always preferred the third person perspective in games like Sony’s SOCOM series on the PS2 and coming soon for the PS3. In truth I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Halo series either but after playing Halo 3 and playing and playing and playing some more I’m hooked. The game actually sat here for over a week before I opened it to play some co-op with a friend. On the fourth level I got the red lights of death and that ended our binge for the night.

I grabbed the Legendary Edition merely for the helmet but after those few hours goofing off on co-op I couldn’t let it go. The next day to my surprise my 360 decided to be a good boy and has been running like a champ ever since. By that I mean 10 hours a day for the last 5 days. An addiction? … Nah.
